Who do you think reads more books – children or adults? Children do! If you have an incredible idea that you can’t stop thinking about, now is the time to pick an age group and write a relatable story for children. The key to writing a successful children's book is to learn the techniques and skills that engage a child’s imagination and sustain their attention. Learn how to get started, how to structure a storyline, create a plot, write dialogue and decide on a style, and develop three-dimensional characters. All skill levels are welcome.
There is an author inside of you with so many rich possibilities for compelling narratives based on “Your Story”. In this class, you will learn brainstorming techniques, how to establish outlines, as well as editing techniques that will translate your personal stories into words to create lasting memories. You may share your work with others or keep it private. This is not a critique class.
