Whether you are a beginner or want to further your education, ACE offers beginner and advanced sewing and crochet classes. Each one of our classes is designed to give you the skills, techniques, and confidence you need to begin your craft or to take it to the next level.
Want to learn how to sew but need help figuring out where to start? This course will teach you everything you need to know as you start your sewing journey, including how to properly operate a sewing machine, different terms, fabrics, what notions you need, how to hand-stitch, and more. Throughout the course, you will complete three beginner projects; a pillowcase, a tote bag, and a pincushion. So, together, let’s all learn how to sew! You must bring your own sewing machine. The supply list will be provided on the invoice.
Are you ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? This class teaches you how to read a pattern, sew in an elastic waistband, attach buttons and zippers, and more. You will construct three projects while sharpening your sewing skills. This class is for the returning sewer or advanced beginner. You must bring your sewing machine. The supply list will be provided on the invoice.
Prerequisite: You must have and know how to work your own sewing machine, have a basic sewing kit, and be able to sew a straight line.
Use 24 t-shirts to make a 48x72-inch memory quilt. Using a Quilt-As-You-Go technique, you should have a finished quilt project by the end of the class. The supply list is printed on the invoice.

If you’re a beginner, you’ll learn the basic stitches, how to work in rows, and read patterns in a comfortable environment. This class is an excellent opportunity to build your knowledge and skills and create a finished project. The supply list will be provided on the invoice.
Are you passionate about crocheting and enjoy sharing the experience with others? This class is the perfect opportunity to bring your current project, troubleshoot specific techniques, exchange ideas, spark inspiration, and create lasting connections with fellow crochet enthusiasts.
*PLEASE NOTE: This class is NOT meant to be a beginner class. It is for anyone who has already mastered the basics.
Do you love to crochet? Perhaps you have heard of amigurumi or seen the adorable crocheted stuffed toys that have become increasingly popular worldwide. All you need is basic crochet knowledge and a little stuffing, and you will be on your way to constructing basic 3D shapes and toys that are as cute as they are fun to make! So, gather your friends and make new ones as we crochet amigurumi together. Some crocheting experience is required. The supply list is printed on the invoice.

In this engaging workshop, you will learn step-by-step how to knit by using your hands. You will create two stylish chunky scarfs or a chunky throw (50x60-inch) in just a few hours with no prior knitting experience! You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can pick up hand knitting, and by the end of the workshop, not only will you have a stylish chunky cozy accessory to keep you warm during the colder months, but you’ll also have gained a new hobby and a sense of accomplishment. When she isn’t crocheting, Sarah is busy working in the healthcare industry as a chiropractic physician.
NOTE: REFUND POLICY
For courses lasting less than eight weeks, you must notify the ACE office at least two full business days before the class start date to receive a refund. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied. If you elect to keep your funds on account for future use, the $10 cancellation fee will be waived. If the request is received less than two full business days before the start of class, no refunds, transfers, or credits will be issued.
