MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM (CCMA)

The job outlook for medical assistants in Missouri is positive, with a projected 15% growth from 2024 to 2033.  The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) anticipates 16% growth and 117,800 new job opportunities for medical assistants between now and 2031.  The high demand for medical assistants means excellent job security for the foreseeable future.  


A CCMA certification can lead to higher starting salaries, greater earning potential, as well as it can make your resume more competitive by adding a level of credibility and professionalism. 

Prepare for a rewarding career in healthcare with our comprehensive 18-week Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) program. This course combines classroom instruction and hands-on training to develop the essential skills needed for success in clinical and administrative settings.

You will prepare to take the CCMA exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for certification.


Through this program, students will gain expertise in key areas such as:

  • Assisting providers with exams and office procedures
  • Patient care, including taking and recording vital signs, administering injections, and medications
  • Phlebotomy, EKG administration, and Point of Care Testing
  • Preparing patients for examinations and other procedures
  • Front-office procedures, including patient check-in/out and medical documentation
