CNC PROGRAMMING, SETUP, AND OPERATIONS

CNC programmers are the minds behind modern manufacturing, turning designs into precise, high-quality parts. In this hands-on training program, students gain a strong foundation in computer numerical control (CNC) and develop the technical skills needed to meet today’s industry standards.

What You’ll Learn

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills

• Establish machine coordinates and tool offsets

• Write and edit G-code programs

• Interpret blueprints and job specifications

• Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and turning

• Use industry-standard measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality

Students gain real-world machining experience while building technical confidence and problem-solving skills in a shop-based learning environment. 

At the end of the course, students receive a Certificate of Completion for 72 instructional hours. 

NOTE—Safety glasses, jeans, and steel-toe work boots are required. This program is WIOA (Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act) approved, providing added financial support for eligible students.
