In this course, you will acquire techniques to operate TIG (GTAW) welding equipment to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials. You will learn to produce fillet and groove welds on plates in the flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. Prior welding experience is required. The supply list is provided on the invoice. For the experienced welder or the weekend warrior, this course provides training in basic and advanced techniques required to upgrade skill levels for additional career opportunities or for your personal use. Acquire techniques in the MIG (GMAW) and Flux-core (FCAW) processes, using ER70S-6 and E71T-1 filler metals on a carbon steel plate. Learn to work in all fillet and grooved plate positions. This introductory course covers the fundamentals of arc welding utilizing the SMAW welding process to run beads and performs single and multiple-pass welds on fillet and groove joints. You will also experience basic oxy-fuel cutting. The supply list is provided on the invoice. WIOA Approved
