FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How late can I register for a class?
Registrations are closed typically the Friday before the class will start. Be sure to register at least 10 days before the start date of a class. Many classes fill quickly and others may be canceled due to low enrollment. You do not have to be a St. Charles resident to register for a class.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Courses are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. If St. Charles Adult and Community Education cancel a class, you will be notified by phone and email. You will be given the option to receive a full refund of your registration fee, transfer to another class, or receive a credit for the future.
How do I get a refund?
To withdraw your registration and receive a refund, you must notify St. Charles Adult and Community Education at least two business days before the class starts. Your tuition, less a $10 cancellation fee, will be refunded. You can transfer to another class or be issued a credit for a future class. If notice is received in less than two full business days, no refunds, transfers, or credits will be issued.
Can I register my child for a class?
Youth under age 16 may attend adult classes where appropriate only if accompanied by a registered adult.
When will I get my book?
Textbooks and materials will be distributed on the first night of class. We cannot guarantee you will receive a textbook on the first night of class if you register less than 48 hours of the class start time. If supplies are required, a supply list will be printed on the invoice or provided by the instructor.
Are your locations handicap accessible?
Students with disabilities who need accommodations are encouraged to call the office at (636) 443-4043.
How will I know whether a class is canceled?
In the case of inclement weather, the City of St. Charles R-VI School District’s closing schedule is generally followed. If canceled, classes will be rescheduled.
