Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
You will see “CEU” appearing in the
description of some of our classes. CEUs are a form of
nationally recognized credit which is based on time spent in
continuing education experiences. CEUs may be required for
professional certification, relicensure programs, or
occupational promotions. One CEU is given for every 10 hours of
instruction in vocational classes. A record of cumulative CEUs
is maintained for all students and will appear on transcripts
that are requested from the office.
Certificates of Completion
Certificates of Completion are awarded to
students who successfully complete vocational (CEU) classes.
Students who receive a grade of “C” or better and attend at
least 80% of the class will receive a certificate at the last
class. If you are entitled to a certificate and are unable to
attend the last class, you may pick up your certificate at any
time at the Adult & Community Education office.
Grade Transcripts
Transcripts are maintained for vocational
classes only. Transcripts may be requested from the office in
writing or in person—no requests can be taken over the phone.
The charge for a requested transcript is $5.00. Requests that do
not include payment will not be processed.
Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather, the
Adult and Community Education program follows the City of St.
Charles R-6 School District closing schedule. If they have
cancelled classes for the day, all day and evening Adult and
Community Education classes will also be cancelled and
rescheduled for another date. Class closings will be posted on
the home page of our website.
